Our Fun-Filled Day at P in the Park 2025: Dogs, Delicious Treats, and Good Friends

What an incredible day we had at P in the Park 2025! Hosted in the Unleashed Fields in Midlothian, making it easy to get to and plenty of parking!

As we entered the festival grounds, the sight of colorful stalls drew me to them, and that was the first stop in our adventure.

Ambassadogs

Before all the fun kicks off on the events grounds, the organizers release a list of all of their "Ambassadogs". As the name would imply, these are the dog influencers that are promoting the event on the run-up!

One of my favorite things to do is to have a look at all of the beautiful pups that are on it and do a bit of "Where's Wally?" on the day! It also gives you all the insider knowledge before the event even happens.

Exploring the Stalls

Our adventure began at the many stalls scattered throughout the park. From local pet boutiques to artisan dog treat vendors, there was something special for every pooch and owner. I couldn't resist checking out several stalls, each of them having their unique atmosphere that was both bright and welcoming.

Along the way, I had the pleasure of meeting other dog lovers who would stop and we would exchange stories about our furry friends, both funny and heartfelt.

The dogs were enjoying themselves just as much as we. The atmosphere was initially very overwhelming, but once they had a good sniff at everything (and Pepe had a wee on every blade of grass), they calmed down a considerable amount.

Treat Time with Kirsty and Shelby's Bakery

After exploring the stalls, we made a highly recommended stop at Kirsty and Shelby's Bakery. As a proud dog parent, I can't resist spoiling my pup with tasty treats. Their stand was a vision of deliciousness!

The display featured cakes and goodies crafted strictly for dogs, making my choice delightfully challenging. In the end, I picked some Cheese Dino biscuits for my pooches to share with their best friend back home.

The Iconic Giant Grass "P"

Next, we headed to the iconic photo opportunity in front of the giant grass "P." You can't visit P in the Park without capturing this memorable moment!

As I posed for the photo, I noticed the area start to get busier and more proud dog owners with their dogs in fabulous costumes lining up to get the all-important photo.

We snapped a few pictures, capturing my dog proudly sitting in front of the greenery. Moments like these truly bring us closer together as pet owners, united in our love for our furry friends.

Keeping Cool in the Scorching Heat

Despite the blazing sun, the festival organizers did an excellent job of keeping everyone cool. Water bowls were generously placed throughout the grounds, and there were shallow pools where dogs could splash around to beat the heat.

Seeing so many dogs having fun, barking joyfully as they chased each other around the pools, warmed my heart. It was evident that the event catered wonderfully to our furry companions, ensuring they stayed cool and happy despite the heat.

A Quick Adventure Around the Festival

We managed to explore the entire festival in under 40 minutes.

The full festival was an all-day thing; however, we were very cautious of the heat, so we avoided the jump in pool, contests, and Agility courses that were available.

Though we zipped through many stands, I cherished every moment. The sounds of excited children laughing and the joyful energy of the dogs made our short visit to P in the Park incredibly worthwhile.

A Day to Treasure

By the end of the day, with my dog happily munching on their treats, I felt an overwhelming sense of joy. P in the Park 2025 not only brought dogs and their owners together but also reminded us of the strong bonds we share.

Events like this are essential for celebrating the love we have for our canine companions. Whether through tasty treats, friendly conversations, or simply enjoying a sunny day in the park, it was a reaffirmation of how special our pets are and how they connect us in our shared journey.

I can hardly wait for next year’s event! I know my pup is already dreaming of the adventures that await us.
